My first posting in this blog. I've decided that it would be best to begin with a short explanation of why it's here, and hopefully convey an idea of what I'll be writing about.
To begin, a bit about who I am. I'm a geologist, from a family of geologist and engineers mostly, but not exclusively, involved in the oil industry. This will not be a blog about defending the Oil & Gas industry. I have my qualms about this industry just as almost everyone else out there does. I will bring up and clarify any false accusations, claims, or injustices I come across pertaining to the industry, but this is not going to be my focus.
This is to be a blog about the state of our nation and the multitude of activities, events, people and anything else that influence its well-being. For the record, I am a strict Constitutionalists. I am not a Republican, a Democrat, a Libertarian, an Independent, or member of any other political party. I only call my self a Constitutionalists out of the respect I have for the Constitution and the man who wrote it. You are likely to see allot of Thomas Jefferson quotes throughout this blog.
A forewarning: I am not Politically Correct. I believe that political correctness is a form of lying and hypocrisy that does nothing but exacerbate issues that would be better off being dealt with directly. I am not a racist. I will say things that some are likely to construe as racist, but in the case of this blog, I am merely stating what should be said without the veil of PC muddying the waters. For the record, I am an all American mutt divided between Lakota Sioux, Irish, German and various other minor bits of nationalities mixed in.
This writing will not have any set schedule. Work comes first so my time to discuss matters here is dictated by my job and everything else in my life. All comments whether pro or con are absolutely welcome. I will not censor anything that is relevant to the discussion at hand (this means spam or advertisements of any type in the 'comments' section will be deleted).
I want to apologize in advance for any misspellings or type-o's my spell-checker may miss, once I get writing I often times forget to even run it... ...so expect a few!
On that note I will say farewell for now and we'll get started in on the good stuff next time!
